The Arista 7250QX 10/40 Data Center Switch Series are built with wire speed L2/3/4 performance combined with low latency and advanced features for software-defined cloud networking. The series has a flexible combination of 10GbE and 40GbE giving you the ability to design large leaf and spine networks to accommodate east-west traffic patterns supporting power efficiency in dense server farms. All Arista switches run on the same Arista EOS modular switch operating system with a unique state sharing architecture that cleanly separates switch state from protocol processing and application logic.

What's new
  • A dense 40GbE system with 64 QSFP+ ports that can support a flexible combination of up to 64 x 40GbE or 256 x 10GbE of wire peed performance.
  • Support for both large leaf and spine networks.
  • Offers east-west traffic patterns with low latency and power efficiency.
  • Wire-speed L2/3/4 with low latency for software defined cloud networking.
Features

Data Center Optimized Design

The Arista 7250QX 10/40G Data Center Switch Series are purpose-built with wire-speed L2/3/4 performance combined with low latency and advanced features for software-defined cloud networking.

Supports a flexible combination of 10GbE and 40GbE in a compact form factor that gives you the ability to design both large leaf and spine networks to accommodate east-west traffic patterns and supports the requirement for low latency and power efficiency in dense server farms.

With 64 QSFP+ ports the 7250QX-64 is a dense 40GbE system that can support a flexible combination of up to 64 x 40GbE or 256 x 10GbE of wire peed performance in a 2RU system.

It combines low latency, and a shared packer buffer pool of 12MB per group of ports that is allocated dynamically to ports that are congested.

Combining density and power efficiency with typical power consumption under 14W per 40GbE port, the 7250QX is ideal for both middle or end of row or collapsed spine tiers with airflow choices from back-to-front or front-to-back.

Supported by Arista EOS

All Arista switches run on the same Arista EOS modular switch operating system with a unique state sharing architecture that cleanly separates switch state from protocol processing and application logic.

This multi-process state sharing architecture provides the foundation for in-service-software updates and self-healing resiliency together with stateful switchover, without the loss of data plane forwarding.

Simplifies network administration, with advanced monitoring and automation capabilities such as Zero Touch Provisioning. VMTracer and Linux based tools that can be run natively on the switch with the powerful x86 CPU subsystem.
